First month!

I knew I was officially approaching the one month mark when I ran out of cellular data. Thankfully I got that taken care of today. I am really enjoying living in London. In this post I want to focus on some of the smaller things I experience on a daily basis because I live in such an amazing city. Everyday when I walk to the Underground Station I see the beautiful St. Pancras hotel which looks like a castle! In between classes I sit on a bench in Russell Square and read, eat a snack, and people watch. Somedays, when I am not too tired, I walk home from school. I pass by a cute used book store which I love looking around in. The walk home is only 20 minutes and it is so peaceful to just take a moment to be by myself, put in my ear buds to listen to some music, and appreciate my surroundings. On Thursdays I don’t have class until 5 pm so I try to do something new every Thursday. This past Thursday, my friend and I went to Hyde Park to have a picnic and study. We also try to explore London on the weekends when we are not doing homework. Today we went to Camden Market which has been my favorite thing I’ve done in London so far! I could spend hours there looking at all the fun things the vendors are selling. I got a bracelet that I am obsessed with! Unfortunately it was raining so we couldn’t eat outside at a picnic table along the canal but we had a delicious brunch inside a restaurant. I definitely want to go back there! Looking ahead, I am super excited for October because I am going on weekend trips to new countries the first 3 weekends of the month!

  1. Glad you are appreciating the little things about London. This is a huge difference between living somewhere and just being a tourist there.
